Welcome!
Kochana is a Polish word that means something like darling girl.
I have been blessed with two darling girls who frequently morph into fire-breathing, gold-hoarding dragons who get great pleasure from growling at each other.
I'm a strict mom -- I make my three year old eat all her chicken nuggets before she can have ice cream.
But seriously, I do have high expectations for my kids' attitude, self control and obedience. I get the stink-eye from other parents at least once a month, so I know I'm doing things right.
Being tough parents means the whole family works hard to be our best every day.
So once in a while I like to have a day when we can let our hair down and throw a lot of that strictness out the window and really spoil our kids to let them know how absolutely crazy we are about them.
Birthdays are a great excuse to do just that.
On days when the sink is overflowing with dishes, the washer has had the same load of clothes in it since last Thursday, the kids are adamant that they really need to tear up everything in the house and I'm weighing how bad it would be to just serve sliced pickles for dinner (for the record I've never actually done that), I like to brainstorm their next birthday party -- and not just because that means they're one step closer to turning 18 and moving out.
I love showing my kids what a blessing every year with them is to me, even if being a mom would often be better described as being a human napkin.
So I'm taking my passion for being a human napkin who party plans, and sharing it with you here, on social media and on Etsy.com where you can find one-of-a-kind party invitation designs available to download for less than that Venti Caramel Machiatto, which you so desperately need.
Follow the blog to see new designs as they come out and party planning ideas and inspiration.
Let me know what your kids' next birthday party theme will be and you might inspire my next post and project!
